Windsor Park is... (Verified Renter)

Windsor Park is for the person who likes his or her privacy, not a lot of noise and activities going on all the time, enjoys nice views (mine is large tree covering the courtyard outside my living room and den windows, others have the pool or the lake views), egrets by the hundreds, ducks, a goose or two, and yes, we have the pesky iguanas (I saw one small one on the 3rd floor as I was getting off the elevator recently, but otherwise, they are down by the lake). The only drawback is a fault of... the residents and that is that they don't follow the recycling rules of paper and paper products in the yellow bins and glass and plastic in the blue, so they're most always contaminated. The yellow bin by the mailboxes rarely has plastic in it. I requested it years ago after I had the SWA come to do a workshop for residents (which only two other residents and I attended, sadly, so the contamination continues) and the next day it was by the mailboxes. another drawback is not having permanent roll up or down hurricane shutters inside or out or having a crew with a ladder to put the panels of shutters up for us, so a family member or friend has to hang out the window to put them up, which is a dangerous and very difficult job for anyone to do. A former neighbor was doing hers, herself, and we almost lost her a few years ago! We have a huge lawn maintenance crew who would probably be happy to use their truck ladder to get to all the windows if the company would pay them a little extra, but all my requests fall on deaf ears about this dangerous problem and I wouldn't want to be responsible for a friend or family member moving in and having to go through that. All of us are afraid of doing it or having friends or family do it. One day someone is going to fall and get killed trying to hang our shutters before a hurricane! This company would be great if they'd sacrifice the one time payment to have permanent hurricane shutters installed or even to pay the lawn crew once a year to do it before each hurricane that is going to hit here. That would be preferable, I would think, to having someone fall from a window!

This is supposed to be 62 + and it is far from that. We have all ages from babies to teens to younger working people. There are no activities for Seniors (or anyone) I would not recommend for Seniors
