The Oasis at Kearney Creek - Senior 55+ is located in Lexington, Kentucky in the 40511 zip code. This apartment community was built in 2021 and has 3 stories with 96 units.
The apartments are very nice and the building itself is well maintained. Unfortunately, there are other problems. Snow/ice removal is very poor. It's never done quickly or done sufficiently. Ice and snow aren't removed from around the mailboxes and tenants have fallen because of it. When they do shovel, they don't shovel the entire sidewalk! They shovel a narrow path that in places is not wide enough in for my mobility scooter to get through. The other issue is that sometimes when the... electricity is out, you are trapped in the hallway if you can't walk up the stairs. I assume that means there is no backup generator to power the elevator. I waited in the hallway for 4 hours without my medication before I managed to get up the stairs backwards, sitting on one step at a time carrying my walker. This is all very annoying and needs improvement.
