I've now been here a handful of times and I am never disappointed. Late night, afternoon the Havana Garage can't be beat. Cigars, beers and Moscow mules you will find along with a great outdoor patio and an overall impressive atmosphere. My review didn't impress you? Check it out yourself, you will be happy you did.
City Limits is fun! Located next to The Tea Smith these guys have been around forever. Waqnt a postcard from your trip to Omaha? Got it. need a to for your friend that likes zombie? Got it. How about a book to make your plane ride easier for you, but uncomfortable for the guy next to you? Got that too.Quirky and comfortable. It is al
So a friend and I looking for a change from a normal bar night are walking along Howard Street in the Old Market towards this "Havana Garage" place I've been wanting to try. Being a pretty hardcore craft beer and cigar enthusiast I felt like it may be a new place to hang out every now and then. We walk into the crowded bar and downst
Stopped in on a Tuesday night about 9pm for a few drinks. I love cigar bars and smoke them occasionally, but in all honesty this place needs to invest in a better ventilation system. The smell of a fine cigar is great but this place was just thick with old stale smoke. Incredibly friendly bartender and waitress. Reasonable prices on
Dave is the best bartender ever! He makes wonderful drinks and is a great host! We will definitely be back.
I usually don't get sucked into buying random crap I don't need. But this place is just too fun. Unlike other random gift and gag shops, this place really does seem to have been curated to stock random crap you don't need, but of such good quality and value that you can make a plausible case for buying anyway. Of course, this will al
First off, this is a cigar bar so if you're not a fan of smokey places then this place will not be for you. I am not, but I won't let that interfere with my review. We met some friends here on a Saturday night. The place was packed with a variety of people who all looked like they were having a great time. The place has a hip atmosph
GREAT whisky selection, and their prices for some rather expensive single malts are pretty reasonable! They've finally put together a whisky list, which they did not have the first couple times I went to the Garage. Good cigar selection, or good enough for me, anyhow! I'm no cigar connoisseur...
This was our last stop on our tour of the Old Market. We sat out back in the beer garden and listened to the band playing inside. There were no servers out back, but that was ok, it was a nice relaxing end to the evening, just music, visiting and meeting new people. Just had a couple of drinks, but I would go back for the atmosphere.
I've only been once, but my husband loved the place so much, I can't help but love it too. Where else can you go in Omaha where you can smoke a good cigar anywhere you want, have a good glass of booze, and, AND, bring your dog?
Very cool joint. Great scotch collection and building - got to ask for Dave at the bar, he will seriously give you some great insights. As for me, looking for a place to find a nice smoke in a world that frowns on it so much, walking into Havana Garage was like finding Freedom again. Cloyd Rivers would be thrilled to know that 'Meric
Ok, here's the deal! The people who help pick out cigars are awesome. If it was only that in this place I'd give it 5 stars and call it a day. But I can not do that. The bar staff is so-so to bad at times. My buddy was trying to finish his drink at the bar at last call time. And they seriously ripped his drink away because he was "ch
Great shop. Sit outside weather permitting. Nice humidor downstairs and great shop around corner (SG Roi) I think are owned by the same folks. Friendly staff, good people watching, met cool people grabbing a smoke several afternoons while waiting for flights out of Omaha.
Great spot to vist and smoke. I love doing business there now that I have located a place that has cigars and scotch lookout Omaha I will be back.
Other than the drunken creeper who's slurring-pestering was a bit annoying and my near-fainting spell from the thick haze of cigar smoke, I really liked my first visit to HG. On a Saturday night just before the holidays, every table was jammed up with shiney happy people listing to a little live music while sipping on a cocktail and
Average selection of cigars for a bar. Great selection of drinks. Wish they had good coffee available. I'm not sure why I would want to smoke a $10-$20 cigar from a "commercial grade leave the coffee on the burner all day" maker. That would make it a good afternoon/evening hangout. that would give it 5 stars.
Was in the old market with my wife on a date, we were on our way down to Mister Toads and decided to check out this bar. I was very impressed from the moment i walked in. The place smelled great, which can be hard for a cigar bar. the layout was great with awesome belt driven fans on the ceiling, friendly staff, and a great liqour an
A great place to kick back, relax, smoke a fine cigar, drink a Moscow Mule and listen to live Blues. When ever I get into Omaha, my nights are spent here.UPDATE: For the past two years whenever I get into Omaha THIS IS THE PLACE I head to on a Friday or Saturday night. Great live music, drinks and cigars are welcome AND sold here.
What a GREAT place for stop number two of our bachelor party outing last night! Full walk-in humidor, two levels, outdoor seating area, and we had the entire lower floor almost to ourselves! The waitresses were outstanding, putting up with our loud, obnoxious, drunken antics with smiles on their faces, the beer was cold... what more
Selection of Cigars could be way better. But if you are looking for atmosphere this is a great.
It's like the urban outfitters accessories section but on steroids. This is exactly the sort of place that probably inspired the hipster products that UO sells now. So many different quirky-fun-cool products that are stocked here. They have a huge selection of greeting cards, postcards, and other wacky products. I'll admit the things
Visited last Weekend and last night. They had a pretty good blues band playing called "The Alley Cats" this weekend and a pretty nice crowd. Not really a smoker, but I partook to enjoy the experience. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a flavorful short cigar called "moon trance". It had a sweet flavor and did not leav
Havana Garage is a classy, cool looking space. Like most bars in Old Town, it possesses a certain charm. That charm ends with the fact that it's a cigar bar. I don't smoke, but I was with friends that do partake. Cigar bars aren't my particular scene. However, if friends are going there, I'll still accompany them to places where they
Nice selection of Cigars... and full bar. Enjoy sitting out on the patio...Only issue is the Omaha culture, where people walk by and complain about the smell of cigars... I was smoking a very nice $12 Monte Cristo, and had several people comment as they were walking by...Oh well...Havana Garage is a great place, located in the heart
Its like an upscale trick shop. They have "The gas we pass" and other fun childrens titles. Along with a large variety of hand sanitizers that read "Because you mave have touched your genitals" and so forth. Good place to find gag gifts and gifts for "Cut-ups"
A real bar in the market district of Omaha? Believe it or not it's true. This is an actual swanky watering hole in the middle of Omaha's, cobblestone tourist nightmare. Great selection of cigars and high end booze. Very welcoming, and they play some pretty good music too. Bartenders are real professionals, as are the gorgeous wait st
Fun! Great little shop in Old Town. Here you will will find a range of Eco-conscious cards, gag gifts, DIY books, recycled bags, travel journals, scrap booking bits and so on, folders, pens, pencils - I think you get the idea. I love the choice of music that they play here. Now every time I hear IVY --- youtube.com/watch?v=sAmN I wil
A cigar bar on the main strip of downtown Omaha. Friendly staff and a nice enjoyable atmosphere inside. A good place to chill out. Wood interio, dark wood. Local brew on tap. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
The atmosphere is perfect...Havana 1962. Great drinks, to include a high end rum, bourbon and scotch menu. The humidor downstairs smells like heaven and includes a great selection of cigars. The bartenders are always helpful and the waitresses are all pleasant and beautiful - just what you want to see while enjoying a great drink and
I almost forgot to mention in my check sexy women smoking cigars, that's HOT!!!
Looking for a GREAT place to relax and kick back? In Omaha, it doesn't get better than this. Try going when the weather is nice so you can enjoy one of their patios- there's one out front and in back. Distinctive drink selection, one of few places in town you can get a Moscow Mule. Full walk-in humidor in the basement. If you're not
Twice I have been to Havana Garage now and both times rocked. Decent priced cigar collection, high end scotch, and some traditional cocktails... low lit environment makes a perfect Sunday afternoon stop to enjoy a cigar and get out of the heat. Although no food served there they have menus for a ton of close restaurants and some will
Good cigar bar. Two level bar with outside seating on a large patio in the back and outdoor seating on the street in the front, live music and a nice selection of cigars in the walk-in humidor. Most of the cigars are in the $10 and up range. Possibly a little pricey for the area but you can always bring your own sticks. The staff is a
Havana Garage is the best bar in the Old Market. I love a cigar and cocktail when the weather is nice. Havana is a swanky, open-air spot with multiple levels and two outdoor patios. The addition of the huge secluded patio in the back was a great idea. Occasionally they have live music in the corner, and it definitely isn't overkill.
I was drawn into the store by a garden gnome that was mooning me from his street-level shelf. If that isn't funny, then don't bother continuing inside because you will likely be offended by their sassiness. The store definitely has my sense of humor and I wish they were in DC since they'd be my go-to store for great cards and small gi
This is probably my favorite bar in the Omaha area. The staff are friendly, They are well versed in spirits and other drinks. The Liquor selection is outstanding. For my fellow brothers of the leaf, (cigar smokers) the selection in the humidor is very good. A touch on the pricey side, but they do manage to get some rather hard to fin
I enjoy my time at Havana Garage. If you will, please go on Sunday when Fast Eddie is serving his "Sunday Bloody Sunday" specials of the best bloody mary in Omaha. They are worth every penny. Do not go here thinking you'll be watching the football game or whatever sporting event may be taking place, as there are two televisions in th
Very cool place...somewhere to go and just chill/relax. I don't regularly smoke cigars, but I tried one, just because. There was a live jazz band the night I was there...great music and just an overall fun place. I would definitely recommend checking it out!
I am a sucker for cute, reusable waterbottles.Ahh.We were walking along, enjoying the nice weather and attempting to burn off some of the tasty dinner we just had at Rock Bottom Brewery when I saw the store display...cute stainless steel water bottles, printed with matching reusable lunchbags...ahhh, I surrender! We walked in and our
Every time I go to the old market, I have to stop at this store. Love it! There's so many cool things in here to look at!
Hilarious items await you inside and unique things from unexpected places. That being said you pay for uniqueness in Omaha because the items aren't cheap. There's a lot to see in here and I enjoyed browsing. I couldn't even imagine all the different post-it notes they have and some of the cards (adult humor) were pretty funny. I ende
I was intrigued by the storefront so I wandered inside. They have a lot of fun greeting cards, postcards, and other assorted gifts. Quite a lot of nostalgia-ish stuff (if that's a word!) I ended up leaving with a few funny postcards and a couple cards to send back home for laughs.A fun stop if your walking by, but definitely a PG fac
My fiance and I came here for some late night drinks and food. Upon entering there was a gentleman touting the new featured signature cocktail called the Havana Garage. It played off the mojito but had a Jameson in it. Not bad. Not bad. So we ordered one of those up. Unfortunately, they weren't serving food but they kindly allowed us
Omaha has so many wonderful well established bars that I'm a pretty harsh critic of any new bars that come along. That being said, I will be adding Havana Garage to my list of regular hang outs. Havana Garage is the new cigar bar owned by the same owners as S. G. Roi Tobacconist Shop. It has a comfortable and laid back atmosphere alo
Reminded me of Spencer's from years past. The place is full of gag gifts, cards, and adult humor. I liked the stuff overall, and some of the books are downright hilarious. By the end however despite some good laughs, i didn't really find anything that I wanted to take home with me. I would consider this store to be a hit or miss with
We found this shop while strolling in the Old Market District of Omaha. It was a great shop for novelty items and unusual gifts for those who have a warped sense of humor. We spent a good hour looking through the merchandise, and found many things that gave us a good laugh and that we wanted to buy. Some of the unique items that we lov
