Minutes From Downtown Ann Arbor & University of MI
I lived at LRV for two years. This is a quiet location with a well-kept exterior.
The problem which I encountered was with the maintenance staff. The maintenance staff is rude and incompetent. I had what appeared to be a minor issue with my clothes dryer. It took six visits by the “technician” to get the dryer running again.
Months after that service call, two of their new technicians came to my door regarding a leak in my neighbor’s garage below my apartment. These two new guys acted... like ex-convicts. They didn’t even seem to know how to introduce themselves. It took me 5 minutes to figure out who they were.
After that visit, I did not want the maintenance staff anywhere near my house.
Near the end of the 2 years, my kitchen faucet began to leak. Instead of calling for the incompetent maintenance staff, I put zip ties around the leak. After I moved out, the management staff deducted $250 from my lease deposit to cover the repair of their low-quality faucet. Then they never bothered to send the rest of the deposit to me, even after I contacted their corporate office.
I always paid my rent 5 days in advance. As a thank you, they raised my rent $344 per month! I finally got tired of looking at the bargain-basement KENMORE appliances and cheap plumbing fixtures so I moved to a new home with brand new appliances and marble countertops.
Fortunately, the maintenance staff is great at my new place.

Poor management and communication, drama, expensive
We have lived here for about a year and a half, and I don't recommend it.
Cons: Price increases, management, condo drama, cleanliness and landscaping
-Price. When I moved in, utilities and internet were included in the price and there was no monthly pet fee. Now, we’re going to start paying for internet, water, and pets. I’m going to pay $200 a month more if I release without factoring in rent increases.
-Management. The office does not care about renters. Communication about projects and... issues is poor, and the former office manager recently left with only “temporary assistance” to replace him and no one in the office. We just had our parking lots restriped and were told we’d have to move our vehicles or they’d be towed at our expense. Management didn’t have details and gave me attitude when I asked for more info. The painters came 5 hours earlier than we were told and painted around our cars.
-Condo drama. This is the worst part of living here. The complex is shared by condo owners and apartment renters, and the condo HOA is awful to renters (not the owners—the HOA). When I moved in, I was told we could rent the clubhouse, but that option was retracted right away. Priority to use it goes to the condo HOA, which regularly reserves it and restricts renters. Even the apartment book club has been forced to reschedule or relocate its pre-scheduled meetings because the HOA booked the clubhouse during our time (we always met on the same day and they knew this), and we couldn’t be there. We can use the pool and gym but I am worried we'll lose this access because the HOA has changed the card reader before.
-Cleanliness and landscaping. The grounds are rough. There is a gross pond that is always overgrown and scummy, and the area is filled with ticks. I treat my dog for ticks, and he still gets them just walking around our apartment. There is also goose poop everywhere, the sprinklers come on at random times and smell bad, and the landscaping is terrible. Their schedule is inconsistent and the company that cuts our grass recently slashed all of my grow bags with their equipment because I didn't know when to move them. They leave grass clippings all over.
Pros: Maintenance (sort of) and units
Maintenance. One of the things this community has going for it is its maintenance staff. They’ve had a lot of turnover but all of the people hired are decent and quick.
Units. The apartments are nice and spacious. We have a garage and the unit is in good shape.

Top Tier
I've been living at Legends of Rosewood for a couple years now and this neighborhood has always exceeded my expectations. The area is nice and really close to all the Ann arbor eateries and shopping centers. I also love how quiet and peaceful Rosewood is. At the same time there is a warm sense of community that is all thanks to the wonderful LRD team (special shout out to James, Adam and Jim) They are always super helpful with any questions I have and the Adam and James hosts awesome community... events throughout the year. I also really enjoy their posts on the LRV social media as well. Also Jim is super helpful whenever I need help with something maintenance related. All in all I feel very blessed that LRV is my first apartment experience. While I'm not looking to move anytime soon, if I ever have to relocate LVR has set my expectations and standards high.

Terrible Office Worker
I have lived in this community for 4 years. It is fairly a quiet and peaceful. Upon walking on the grounds you will spot various dog poop and trash around dumpsters. The office person is very disrespectful and you will encounter this attitude once the lease is signed.

Great neighborhood and great people at the Leasing office
I just lease an apartment here, and the lease office guys are just amazing. They made my decision a lot of easier, explained all that I need and ever particular detail of the lease was well took care. The apartment itself is amazing, I just got the Keys so now I will trully know it, but compared to the others I've visited in the same range this one is way better, more space and the garage is a plus
