Have lived here almost two years. The place is generally quiet and peaceful. Residents are mostly polite and friendly. The office staff is supportive of its residents and helpful. It's still a fairly new building so it is well maintained and nice looking. You can be as involved as you wish to be. Or completely uninvolved and stay cloistered. The staff strives to keep the community safe for all. The only knock would be offsite VOA staff negotiated a laundry room contract that has not always... worked smoothly. However, even that offsite subcontractor, when its payment system failed, returned to me lost money, about $14, from their wallet account quickly and without question. Occasionally, though there can be a glitch getting the machines to register an approved purchase for time, when using the wall credit card system but again this is not due to onsite staff. And there does not seem to be overcharging when their system settles. There is not as much corporate support and subsidy for onsite activities as at another senior place I resided for several years, however, my current landlord is far better at maintaining a safe comfortable environment. And residents volunteer their time and contributions to provide a varied social environment. The building is located in a quiet somewhat semi-rural part of Anoka and deer sometimes move along the north side of the property when they go to the Rum River. And yet downtown Anoka is a little more than a mile away. A shopping center with a Cub Foods, the Walmart closed unfortunately, is several blocks to the east at Round Lake Boulevard. We are just blocks from the densely traveled Ferry Street and Highway 169, but local streets are quiet except during rush hour when they crowd up a bit.

We and others that are residents within this facility toured and choose our dream apartment. The week before we weee to move in. After we had all of our addresses changed. And called multiple places for utilities and Internet and insurance. Everything. They stated that they rented out the apartment to someone else. So then we had to go back and choose another apartment.
