This is a disappointing review to write, especially since we lived at Overture Albuquerque 55+ Apartments for four years and made many lasting friendships during that time.
One of the highlights of our experience was the maintenance team. They were consistently responsive, professional, and respectful whenever we submitted a work order.
Unfortunately, our experience with the newest management has been very different. Since the new Community Manager took over, the overall operation of the... community has noticeably declined. There has been a shift toward an approach that feels uncaring and, at times, disrespectful. We have also heard more complaints from residents than ever before.
Having worked in property management for many years, I have rarely seen someone so unprepared placed in charge of a community—especially one serving residents aged 55 and older. The tone of communication is often condescending, and there appears to be favoritism in how concerns are addressed.
When we moved out, staff sincerely told us we would always be welcome to return for community events, which meant a lot to us since we still visit friends who live there. However, during those visits, we have been treated in a way that feels dismissive and, at times, disrespectful—particularly when checking in on senior friends we care about.
It is surprising that a company like Greystar would place someone like this in this role given the level of service residents expect and the cost of living in the community.
I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and considers placing a more experienced and respectful management team in charge—one that understands and values the needs of senior residents. Otherwise, prospective residents may want to explore other communities in Albuquerque that offer better service and respect for their residents.

Friendly staff and welcoming residents. Happy hour on Thursday is great. Having musicians come to entertain. Having the activities give you a chance to see the same people and get to know them. The atmosphere is positive !!

Overture is a community of 50 senior citizens. The community is active and enjoys socializing with each other. We are respectful of each other and give each other their personal space.

Overture is a lovely place to live. The staff is supportive and accessible, fostering an atmosphere of fun, comfort and inclusion. It's easy to enjoy living here!
